INSTINCT, the alternative rock band established in the summer of 2003, is composed by five young musicians between the ages of 21 and 23 years of age: Pandy (Joel D. Muniz) lead singer and vocals; Kato (Ricardo Hernandez) guitar; Edan (Edan A. Rodriguez) drums; and Cha (Juan C. Marreo) bass; and Gustavo (Gustavo Montañez) guitar and keyboard.

The band's drive and motivation to write and play their original songs is inspired by their dream to create a new local alternative of this genre in Puerto Rico, with a short time goal to promote their product in the United States and abroad.

INSTINCT has lived performed in various local clubs, pubs and events, including: Hard Rock Café (Old San Juan); Coaches Sport Bar & Restaurant (Hato Rey); the Black Daniel's Barbecue Competition (San Juan); Pub-Club (Ponce); Los Freakys (Mayaguez); El Criollo Bar & Grill (Guaynabo); Rock & Bowl Fest (Bayamon); Lupis Restaurant (San Juan); Embassy Suites Hotel & Casino (San Juan); Caribe Hilton's Rotisserie & Bar (San Juan); Extreme Bike Competition (Faro de Rincón); among others. The band also appeared in various local TV variety shows, has been interviewed by local newspapers and aired in music radio stations. They were nominated by IXA Music Awards as one of 2005, new rock bands. They shared venues with international bands such as Circo, Vivanativa, Cultura Profetica, Sol de Menta and Slimmy Nuggets.

Avid believers of their musical instinct, and after years of devoted hard work, they decided to record and release their first independent CD album for IN4 Records titled "INSTINCT: Hidden Pieces", (available in stores in Puerto Rico and in CD Baby). Our first video single "Let me down" was shown in MTV PR, Video Max, and in Channel 30
